Durch die Kooperation zwischen Epic Games und Valve Software profitieren nun alle Lizenznehmer der Unreal Engine 3 von der problemlosen Unterstützung der Steamworks Dienste.

Nachdem Valve nun endlich Steam auch für MAC’s anbieten wird, kommt heute aus der GDC 2010 eine neue Info die vielen Entwicklern das Leben erleichtern wird, Steamworks Dienste in ihre Games zu integrieren.

Wie Edge Online berichtet, gingen Epic Games und Valve Software eine Vereinbarung ein in der die Nutznieser eindeutig die Lizenznehmer der Unreal Engine 3 sind.

Durch die Unterstützung der Steamworks Dienste wird es Lizenznehmern nun möglich sein, Features wie Product Key Authentication, Copy Protection, Auto-Updating, Social Networking, Match-Making und Anti-Cheat Technologie ohne wenn und aber in ihre Games zu inkludieren und so den Gamern eine bessere Game-Experience bieten zu können.
